Apologies in advance for those who receive this twice! I'm still working out
some mailing list issues!
Dedicated Ventanaphiles,
Come join us for a leisurely stroll through the woods to brush and log out
the North Coast Ridge Trail and Carrizo trail. We'll plan on staying at
Cook Springs as it has both water and a picnic table. The views will amaze
and the camaraderie will astound!
Saturday night will be marked by our usual pot luck appetizers and
Happy Hour, so amaze your friends by bringing an out of this world treat
and/or libation to share.
Rain or significant forecast of rain will cancel this trip.

We'll likely meet at the entrance to Cone Peak Road around 9am on Friday
morning, depending on who volunteers, and what time they want to get
started. We'll plan on
departing around noon on Sunday. This is also quite doable as a long
day trip.
Those of you who may be interested in lightweight packing, several of
us have lightweight hammocks, stoves, clothes, gear, and experience
using them. Let me know if you have any special requests. I'm
partial to my Hennesey Hammock and pepsi stove, and I just purchased a
golite gust pack, though I think I'll bring my Kelty Flight on this trip.
This will be an offiical FS sponsored trip, making all personal
protection gear mandatory for the work you'll be doing. This typically
includes: long pants, long sleeve shirts, eye protection, gloves, a first
aid kit of some kind, sunblock, matches, and any special medications you
might require. Helmets will
be provided. Various lopping, sawing, and chopping gear is available
upon request.
Email me at dknapp1 at gmail.com for reservations.
And don't forget to bring a friend!
