Perhaps I was being a bit too vagie with my previous statement. I meant
only that the ferocious winds blow the tree down that is attached to the
tape and renders it invisible because it is buried in the tangle of
branches.
I am not aware of people taking them down.
We exercise extreme control when flagging trails to avoid the eyesore and
insult that might arise. Since we lead students our concern is for their
safe travel first, but we want to maintain the illusion of a wilderness
without roadsigns.
